Yeah looks great. For whatever reason, though, it makes me think of Columbus, too. Maybe it's just the yellow....
Either name would be good. I'd prefer Philly AC just since I like the more traditional names. If they can blend it like Seattle did, though, that would be great too. But not "Philadelphia Independence AC" - too many syllables and too choppy. Maybe something more along "Philadelphia Liberty AC"

well the color is basically the sons of ben colors i.e I really don't care what they call it, just as long as its not Philadelphia Independence AC or something really long like you said.

I agree with the earlier comment, I think the neon yellow in this particular kit makes it too similar to that of Columbus. Anyway, if we do choose to go with the Gold & Blue of Philadelphia, I think a predominantly tan or light brown kit would blend nicely. And on a related subject, I saw some photos of New York's new stadium, and I have to say I was very impressed by how close the seats were to the stadium and how the roofs made for an intimate atmosphere. I think Phila needs to plan it's stadium along these same lines, and definitely NOT put in a permanent concert stage (like Columbus and Chicago). The fan base is here for a truly Soccer Specific Stadium.

Thanks for the support I also wanted to put out there the idea of blue and gold diamonds somewhere on the jersey. Not too many, but just a few maybe vertical going down the sides or sleeves of the jersey might make for a distinct look.

blue and gold diamonds would look nice. Its up to adidas and which template philly will use. Adidas comes out with kit templates every year. hey cbrown why not register, our philly section is looking like it needs some posters mlsrepository.proboards81.com/index.cgi?board=philly

Yeah, so apparently the naming contest starts this month and the color scheme may be released soon as well. Hope it's unique: personally I'm pulling for Philly FC or Philly Plural-Name FC (Like Sounders FC). Just my two cents.

Personally, I'd like to see something original for our team kit. I've been advocating checkers similar to the Croatian National Team's jersey (Bottom). Also maybe some diamonds on the side (for an away jersey). For the color scheme, I would also prefer some original stuff. Maybe tan/beige or Philadelphia Flag Blue & Yellow. Just some ideas:

those are some good designs but i doubt adidas will actually make them. Adidas comes out with new kit 'templates' every year. im not sure that they would include checkerd or diamond designs.
i like the first one though, the pacers one.

This is true. I don't know how creative Adidas will get with the Philly Jersey's - hopefully very. I wonder if it would be possible for them to try out some different jersey combinations and schemes the first year or so to get feedback. Maybe they could put out several designs and do an online vote for the jersey like they are doing for the team name - just my wishful thinking.
