I agree with the tie. I think Fire's the better team, but there will be a bunch of players missing, and NY's hot right now. I think both teams will be a little off their game, causing more scoring; 2-2.

i can't see the fire scoring more than 1 goal in this game. Maybe, if NY really sucks like last time. But they've added a few lot of pieces in the transfer window. Im really just hoping to stay in the race for the supporters shield.

wasn't the prettiest of games but we pulled it out. Mike Banner who is a relatively unknown player is really showing promise he had a spectacular shot that bounce off the crossbar.

Recap: MacDonald brace the difference as Chicago down NYHARRISON, N.J. – The Chicago Fire may have suffered an upset loss earlier in the week, but they responded in a big way on Saturday. The Fire handed New York their second loss of the season at Red Bull Arena in a pivotal Eastern Conference clash on Saturday afternoon, with Sherjill MacDonald scoring a brace in a 2-0 Chicago victory. The win snapped a two-game losing streak for Chicago that included a defeat to the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday and put them one step closer to reaching the postseason. For New York, the loss saw them drop the season series to Chicago and it put a dent in their hopes of reaching the postseason. The Red Bulls are now fourth in the tight Eastern Conference as DC United topped Toronto FC earlier in the day. www.mlssoccer.com/matchcenter/2012-10-06-ny-v-chi/recap
