New England Revolution set to sign Charlie Davies on loan until end of season? The New England Revolution might be about to lose one promising US national team prospect in Juan Agudelo, but they could be set to add another American forward with significantly more career experience for a late season playoff push in Charlie Davies. The Revolution have reportedly already signed Davies on a loan agreement through the end of the season with an option to buy permanently and could announce the deal on Friday. Davies to New England was first reported by SoccerByIves.net. Davies' only other prior stint in Major League Soccer came during a season-long loan deal with D.C. United in 2011 which saw the now-27-year-old score 11 goals in 26 appearances for the Black-and-Red. Since that time, Davies was released by French club Sochaux and signed for Randers in Denmark, where he has hasn't scored in 23 appearances. www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2013/08/08/rumor-central-new-england-revolution-set-sign-charlie-davies-loan-until-end-
