Comeback Kids Cahill scores first MLS goal, NY come back from two goals downHARRISON, N.J. – The New York Red Bulls were on the brink of losing their first home game of the season, but a handful of quality stops from goalkeeper Bill Gaudette and a late goal from Heath Pearce ensured they once more picked up points at Red Bull Arena. The Red Bulls rallied from two goals down to defeat the Portland Timbers 3-2 on Sunday, with Pearce heading home the decisive tally off a cross from Jan Gunnar Solli in the 83rd minute. The win improved New York to 13-7-6 and put them two points behind Sporting Kansas City for the top spot in the Eastern Conference, while it kept Portland at the bottom of the Western Conference at 5-13-7. www.mlssoccer.com/matchcenter/2012-08-19-ny-v-por/recap
