you can always t-vo it...but then you'd have to avoid all human, tv, internet contact in order to not spoil the score

That's a good question, the thinking is that they are now looking for a direct owen replacement, which suggests that they had planned for owen to start. He has been playing well for Newcastle since Keegan returned. Popular opinion suggests rooney as second striker, so the interest will be around who replaces owen as leading striker. He will be out for the next game too...

Owen has always been injury prone. Not a surprise.
Well, Congrats England fans. It was a good game. Our defense just wasn't there. We committed too many fouls i thought. Clark specially which lead to the Beckham cross and a goal. We also had no offense....we couldn't get past midfield on most occasions.

well did you see our starters it basically looked like the U-23 Team. I am highly disappointed in the Coach, next is Spain.

Well we could have been better in the mid field. And where did this Pierce fellow come from? Really first time I see him.

My a$$essment here: worldofbeckham.blogspot.com/2008/05/england-1-usa-0.htmlUS did not shine, but as far as I can tell, they made use of many UK-based players, so maybe not the first-choice team - A pity Donovan was out with an injury, that may have made things more interesting... They let England play, which for an opposition team is a mistake, they would have done better to spoil the play which happened effectively for the first 20 mins or so.. If the US had managed to nick a breakaway goal, the England team would not have been allowed to get so comfortable. A good result for England, a forgettable one for the US... Ha Ha Ha, the forum automatically changed my phrase 'my a$$' as part of 'my a$$essment' into 'I disagree' - that's soooooo funny!! like this: my assessment...

You have a good point, our defense and midfield let england play. I dont think Bradley should name clark to the team. Sorry to say but he is a fouler.
