Dynamo sign Honduran international Garcia as newest DPHOUSTON – After more than a year of negotiations, the Houston Dynamo announced on Thursday that they have finalized a transfer that will make Honduran international Oscar Boniek García the second Designated Player in club history. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed as per league policy, but this much is clear: The 27-year-old former Olimpia midfielder impressed the Dynamo brass when they caught an up-close glimpse of him last May. That’s when García – who has 67 caps for Los Catrachos – took the field at Robertson Stadium for a match between Honduras and El Salvador, and the Dynamo have been chasing him ever since. www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012/06/07/dynamo-sign-honduran-international-garcia-newest-dp

Houston Dynamo sign Honduran international Alexander Lopez to young Designated Player dealHOUSTON – For the third year in a row, the Houston Dynamo have dipped into the Honduran pipeline. This time, it’s for one of the country’s bright young stars, as the club announced Wednesday that it has finalized a move for midfielder Alexander Lopez from Honduran club Olimpia. Lopez has been a target of the Dynamo for a year now. After a week of serious negotiations, the club landed a young playmaker that could make a difference in both the present and for years to come. “I think it’s a good move overall for the team,” head coach Dominic Kinnear said. “We felt it was a good to have a young guy with experience. He’s played in a handful of games for Honduras, especially in the last Gold Cup. You have an eye for the future, but you can never predict the future so you plan for the present, and I think he can help us now.” www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2013/08/07/houston-dynamo-sign-honduran-international-alexander-lopez-young-designated-
