The Final Destination Johnson finally comes home; Montero finally has the right partner?
Montreal deal Johnson to SeattleIt’s been a long few years for Eddie Johnson and his family. The sometime US national team striker bounced around Europe for three seasons, mostly failing to find the net and, consequently, failing to find a home. With the Seattle Sounders trading for him on Friday, a day after he agreed to terms with MLS, Johnson sounded sincere during a conference call with reporters when he said he was happy to be back in the league that gave him his start after nearly a year off from professional soccer. www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012/02/17/wake-euro-odyssey-johnson-happy-be-sounder

Sounders' Johnson fined for innappropriate gestureNEW YORK – A day after the Fire's Frank Klopas and Jalil Anibaba learned their punishments for their roles in a postgame dust-up between Chicago and Seattle, the MLS Disciplinary Committee fined Sounders forward Eddie Johnson an undisclosed amount for making an inappropriate gesture directed at fans as he was leaving the field after the match. Johnson scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal in the second half of Seattle's 2-1 win over the Fire, but was punished by the Committee for making the gesture to fans at Toyota Park while exiting the field into the tunnel. He was not suspended for the incident. www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012/05/01/sounders-johnson-fined-innappropriate-gesture
