Journeyman Wahl hoping for fresh start with ColumbusTyson Wahl, the seven-year MLS veteran signed by the Crew on Thursday, is looking for a fresh start after an unsatisfying season with two teams in 2012. Wahl, 28, is expected to provide depth and also challenge for a starting role at either center back or left back on what so far is a thin backline for Columbus heading into the start of preseason camp in two weeks. Report: Crew, Fire finally seal long-rumored deal for DukaEastern Conference rivals Chicago and Columbus have finally concluded their extended haggling and completed a trade that sends Dilly Duka to the Windy City in exchange for speedster Dominic Oduro. The deal would bolster Chicago’s new-look midfield with the skillful Duka, a former US youth international capable of playing multiple positions. A member of the 2009 Generation adidas class, the 23-year-old was highly rated upon his departure from Rutgers University, though his relationship with the Crew coaching staff seemed to degrade towards the end of last season, which was blighted by a hamstring injury in the first game of the year. www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2013/02/01/report-crew-fire-finally-seal-duka-deal
