RSL push on from mediocre midweek showing in victory, Utah – Real Salt Lake capped off their third game in eight days with a 2-0 win over their Rocky Mountain rivals on Saturday night at Rio Tinto Stadium. And while the result against the Rapids was satisfying, what had players and coaches smiling after the match was the fact that they put together a much more complete performance than on Wednesday against Montreal. www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012/04/08/rsl-push-mediocre-midweek-showing-vs-rapids

Braun's debut a bright spot in RSL's loss at ColoradoSANDY, Utah — There wasn't much to take away from Real Salt Lake's 1-0 loss to Colorado last Saturday. RSL were lethargic, tired, a step slow. But there was one bright spot: Justin Braun. Acquired from Montreal on July 11, Braun logged 63 strong minutes in his debut appearance for his hometown club, manning a striker’s role in place of usual starter Fabian Espindola. www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012/08/07/brauns-debut-bright-spot-rsls-loss-colorado

Recap: RSL 2-2 COLRSL remains in first-place, but loses Rocky Mountain Cup COMMERCE CITY, Colo. – Real Salt Lake (11-7-5, 38 points, West #1) picked up a result on Saturday at the Colorado Rapids (9-7-8, 35 points, West #2), tying its longtime rival 2-2 in a weather-delayed match at thingy’s Sporting Goods Park. While the draw kept the Claret-and-Cobalt in first-place in both MLS and the Western Conference, it wasn’t enough for the team to retain the 2013 Rocky Mountain Cup Presented by Mark Miller Subaru, which transferred to the Rapids for the first time since 2006. RSL finished its regular season series against Colorado with a 0-1-2 record, tying the Rapids 1-1 at Rio Tinto Stadium on March 16 before falling 1-0 at thingy’s Sporting Goods Park on April 6. Real Salt Lake got off to a tremendous start on Saturday, taking the lead through MF Ned Grabavoy in just the second minute. MF Kyle Beckerman – making his return to the lineup after missing the last four games while on international duty – created the goal, collecting a ball on the right wing and curling a low cross to a wide-open Grabavoy at the back post for a tap in goal. www.realsaltlake.com/news/2013/08/recap-rsl-2-2-colorado-rapids
