let me guess you think the Mexican Chivas should be in the top 25 or something.

even so, Every team in that top 25 list deserves to be there. Our side of the world (MLS, Mexican League and so forth...) is still long ways a way from the quality of play from Europe.

thank you, once we start beating teams all the time in the FIFA Club World Cup or any other time we play them then we can start to complain we should be in the top 25.

Maybe...but these teams we (MLS) send out always lose against central american teams.

thats because we have a crappy salary cap and can't keep pur good players for very long...oh and by the way everyone is talking about the England v US game coming up but don't forget about fourth-ranked Spain on June 4 at the Estadio El Sardinero in Santander.

quote author=tankfantry board=ussoccer thread=276 post=1520 time=1210293103]let me guess you think the Mexican Chivas should be in the top 25 or something.[/quote] Not really i`m trying to say that the more money a club has the better players the have and the more silverware they win. Now this, i beleive is acceptable to an extent, but in europe only the richest teams win their domestic league title make more money the process begins anew until it becomes that only the richest teams win. A major cause of this is there are no playoffs. Some teams win the championship weeks in advance of the end of the season and some win the title by a single goal e.g. PSV last year. btw i am not dissing man u, they are the best team out ther right now

I understand where you are coming from chivas. I think that is the reason the MLS has a salary cap. It definitely has its pros and cons. One pro is that it keeps teams from establishing a 'monopoly' and keeps the teams fairly evenly matched (I guess that could also be a con, depending from which point of view you see it). Then there's the cons....the league will take even more time to grow its level of play because you will not have enough cap space to improve your roster....thus you can't really sign 'good' players.

It helps for now...but I think if the league grows more they will take that off and maybe even the salary cap.

Ok "Other LA Team" fan, I understand where you are coming from and you do bring up a good point. But I think it will all depend on who wins the FIFA Club World Cup more often will let you know who is the best team over time.

the club wc should be reformed with more team and groups, also i think the cup carries less prestige than champions league and copa libertadores which might make some teams not put total effort. oh and i am a dynamo fan i just have the mexican chivas logo because ever since i put it chivas(mexico) have been playing better and i am hoping they win the title this half season for the 12th title but once the playoffs are over i will switch the logo to dynamo.

I dont think the Club World Cup gets the coverage the Euro or the Champions league does. But I dont see how they can restructure it....other than redoing how they determine the Concacaf team.
