We are kicking off our first MLS Cup Bracket Challenge. No the winner does not get prize money, but what they do get is bragging rights for the year and a place in our Trophy Room. To be eligible to win, you must however be a member of this forum. Don't worry its free. While we take pleasure in providing these brackets and competitions, its only fair that you, the user, help us expand our community. Register.

Submitting
There are 2 methods to submit your brackets.
1. Save your excel file and send it to this Email. MLSRepository@gmail.com
2. Take a screen capture of your bracket and upload your brackets to this thread (You can PM me your brackets if you need to keep it private)
Deadline to submit is Thursday October 30th at 6:00 PM Central Time
How to Play
Fill in each game box (G1, G2) with your score prediction
Its best that you go in order (quarterfinals, semis, final)
As you fill in each score, the winner will automatically be placed in the next round
Note: G1, G2 Means Game 1 and Game 2
Points System
1 Point will be awarded for the final score of each game guessed correctly. (If game 1 Houston v NY is 2-1, then you must have 2-1 to be credited)
1 Point will be awarded for correctly predicting the winner that advances to the next stage.
Single points will be awarded for correctly guessing the Top Scorer and MLS Cup MVP
Total score is doubled if you correctly guess the MLS Cup winner.

okay so I apparently fail @ screencaptures. ^.^''
anyway, I e-mailed by bracket to you. overall results are the same as I predicted (updated version) from the other thread.
btw the game I have as 3-2 was 2-2 with a goal in overtime (I could add an a.e.t., and (although not applicable in my predictions) I couldn't add a penalty shootout score either).

hmm....
okay, considering the article out today on MLSnet.com, I don't think Twellman will tie for most goals scored, so take that off my bracket. And bump Ching up to 4 goals.

the worst part is knowing that NY got in because DC United loss their game. They weren't even going to make the playoffs. Imagine if they win the MLS Cup....

Here are the latest standings, before the conference finals (semi finals really) start.
The max total is the current max amount of points you can get, according to your predictions.

3 of you picked Houston to win it, I picked Chicago, and 1 other picked Kansas City. My max points is 12, but since Chicago still has a chance at winning the MLS Cup and my Top Scorer and MVP picks are fire players, 12 points could possibly be doubled to 24 as stated in the Points system. Basically Chicago needs to carry me on this one. If Chicago loses, Tankfantry's got this in the bag...again
